Applebarns House and Cottage are about ten minutes walk from Freshwater Bay where you will find tearooms and a pub.  On the way you will pass our local grocers shop, the post office and the Thatched Church.  The properties are surrounded by beautiful countryside and there are some delightful walks over the downs with panoramic views along the coastline.  Short drives away there are some excellent sandy beaches and the golf course. Freshwater town, which is also within easy walking distance, has a variety of shops specialising in local produce, an indoor swimming pool, leisure centre, library and tennis courts.

Compton bay is just a few minutes minutes away and is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt natural beaches in the UK
